Helping those in need locally or globally? Make sure you are confident in where your money is going before giving it away.

If an organization does not have a good track record regarding financial dealings, it’s best not to give them your tithes and offerings.
If there aren’t any clear goals or projects outlined in their giving policy or you don’t see evidence of the tithes and offerings being put to good use, then look into giving donations to another church, ministry, or charitable organization.
