throwing money at the preacher's feet

Ever wondered why believers throw money at the preacher’s feet? Explore the intriguing practice in our blog post and gain insight. In this video, I explore the practice of “making it rain” on the preachers. Making it rain is a common practice in strip clubs. It is a slang term for throwing wads of money at strippers. I’ve noticed that this practice takes place in the church.  Instead of throwing money at strippers, church folks throw money at the preachers.

What’s up with that?

Throwing Money Away

Why do folks run up to the pulpit and throw money at the preachers’ feet or place money in the preacher’s hand?

Are they show-boating and want to be seen as “blessing” the “man or woman of God.”?

Do they believe that by giving the preacher money, they’ll receive that preacher’s anointing?  Or will God give them a double, triple, or quadruple blessing?

Do these folks get emotionally caught up in the moment and throw money at the preacher because he or she said something that stirred them?
